Are you searching for peace in your life? Have you come to a cross road and don't know which way to go? Have you gotten tangled up in to the world's web of 'truth' and not found peace?

You hear advertisements for things that will make you 'happy'..... bring you 'joy'. The family down the block has a new car just like in the ads, so they must be experiencing happiness right now - worldly thinking! These ads are made to pull you into the world's way of thinking, that material things are where peace and happiness will be found. But it's not so, my friend. There may be a temporary "fix" for the peace and happiness you find, but it's soon going to fade away. Then you'll hunt for another way to bring peace to your hurting world. You may find it time and time again, but there is only one sure way to having peace fill your heart and life and not disappear. That way is through the salvation plan of Jesus Christ.

Philippians 4:7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

This peace comes from having the hope of heavenly blessings, being in his favor, and knowing we are reconciled to Him. It will keep us from sinning, and also, it will keep us from sinking under our troubles. It will keep us calm through our trails, knowing that GOD is working on our behalf.

We must receive the "engrafted word" [ James 1:21 ] which is able to save our souls. We must be doers of the Word, not only hearers.

Heavenly Father, in our search for peace, bring us to the Truth that is obtained through your Holy Word. Let us feel the peace that only You alone can give. Help us to trust you with all our heart, so that lasting peace can be ours. In Jesus name, we pray. Amen.
