Don't Be Swayed By Public Opinion Weekly devotional by Barbara Sanders
Isaiah 55:8 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD.

Often, we do things for the Lord that brings us flack. We are obedient to the Lord, which we should be in all things. But, the devil is out there working, folks. It's his
duty to get us side tracked into thinking, that if we don't SATISFY everyone, then we just aren't doing OUR job. I beg to differ with that opinion!!
When I sat out on the trail of Christian devotions, I felt, within myself, that I'd never 'make the grade'. But I've come a long way since that first devotional, and the Lord is
still giving me HIS TRUTH to spread the gospel, perhaps in ways others can't. I use experiences, and my knowledge of the world and WORD, to bring practical things to you. I'm not
a theologian, but, with the Holy Spirit on my side, I don't have to be. I need only be obedient to the one that matters the most, my Lord and Saviour, JESUS CHRIST!
Hebrews 3:6 But Christ as a son over his own house; whose house are we, if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm unto the end. |
When someone comes at you with something with which you can't deal, take it to the Lord. Let Him be the one to help you decide if you are on the correct path. Never let someone else's opinion
sway you, when you are doing the Lord's work. Keep your confidence in the Lord, that he will lead, guide, and direct your paths correctly. You will never go wrong.
So WHO's REPORT WILL YOU BELIEVE? Surely NOT someone who opposes the TRUTH!
| Heavenly Father, help each of us not to be swayed with the likes of the world, to listen to the Holy Spirit when we need direction. In Jesus name, we pray. Amen. |
