THE OOPS! IN OUR LIVES Weekly devotional by Barbara Sanders
Matthew 19:26 But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.
All of us have bad days, things go wrong. But, sometimes we think the OOPS! are the worse!! Something momentous happens, and we get really upset.
This morning, a friend of mine on the internet, the webminister of a BIG site, wrote to tell me that she had deleted all her emails. She's away on holiday, using someone else's computer, and a program
on the internet, where she can receive, read, delete, etc, her emails. Seems she inadvertantly hit the wrong button, and deleted the emails she wanted left on her server, not just the ones for delete!! This
could be a very 'big headache' for this lady, since she also does work on her computer, and part was work, and part were emails from hurting people, needing an answer. You can imagine how she felt, when the
emails were 'gone with the wind'!!

Hebrews 4:16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need. |
This lady went right to the 'boss' of her work, in order to try and intercept the losses. Hopefully, they will be able to retrieve that which she deleted.
We know there is someone who can make a difference in our 'Oops!' of life, Christ Jesus! We may not think he could intervene in this situation, but, believe me, he could. We only have to pray, and as we ask him, then we are to believe that he IS doing what he said he'd do. Too often, we get into 'doubt and unbelief' in these situations. But, there is
nothing too hard, or too large for our Savior to do for his people.

Mark 11:23 For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.
Mark 11:24 Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them. |
| Heavenly Father, we know that, with you, all things are possible. Help us keep our trust in you, that whatever comes across our paths in this life, that we know that you can make a difference. We give you praise. In Jesus name, we pray. Amen. |
