I think back to when my grandmother [Daddy's Mother] was alive and such a wonderful example in the lives of her children and
grandchildren on how to live a Godly life before people. Didn't matter what hardships she faced, what opposition, she
was the clay pot from which you would loved to have been modeled. I remember seeing her dance in the Spirit when she was
on fire for God. Didn't matter who was near - if the Spirit touched her, she was dancing. She was such a jolly little
woman that everyone love and appreciated!
God had fashioned a beautiful pot that shined before his Kingdom - filled with love, light and a peace that showed upon
her face. She had her problems in life, but with her walk with Him, she was always in tune. Everybody knew her and
loved her!
Isaiah 64:8 But now, O LORD, thou [art] our father; we [are] the clay, and thou our potter ; and we all [are] the work of thy hand.
Romans 9:21 Hath not the potter power over the clay, of the same lump to make one vessel unto honour, and another unto dishonour? |
When we come to the Potter, we need to surrender all to Him - all our cracks, our imperfections - and let him be the Master of the Pot. Let Him mold us, make us the vessel of honor that he
wants in these days when he's so marvelously pouring out his Spirit on His People. Let him make us into an individual shining example of what we can be in Him, when we let him "model" us and
get out of the realm of the flesh.
Oh, we all tend to want to 'look good', with clothes, makeup, etc., but when HE models you, HIS Light will shine upon you. You will SHINE with the Light of the Lord before the people! You will
be recognized as one of his pots........you won't have to tell anyone what God has done for you. You will be luminous!
| John 8:12 Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life. |
I remember one thing the evangelist in a recent revival said to me as he called me forth to receive what GOD had for me - "God has shown me you are like a sponge, ready to receive whatever he
sends forth, soaking it all up and coming back for more". That is the way we should be when we approach God. "GOD, give me what you want to give me, I am ready for change, anything that is within your
will for my life". But often times, we don't want change, just a "redo" job for the moment to 'feel good'. But to be a real POT that shines before God, you have to be willing to be changed forever,
from top to bottom, head to toe, from within to without...nothing untouched by his Power!
As a person said to me last night, "My God don't make NO junk". He doesn't MEND, but he makes us anew!
Do you feel as though there is a weight on your life? Are there cracks in the POT where all your joy is seeping out? Do you need a refreshing, a remodeling of that pot in order to SHINE
for the Lord? Philippians 4:19 says "But my GOD shall supply all your need". It doesn't say the NEEDS, but your "need"......he will supply you with that which you need for that daily walk with
Him, only if you ask. Hebrews 11:6 says "But without faith it is impossible to please him". Put your faith in the Lord that he can change that earthly vessel of clay into that shining POT
for GOD...that he will take you and mold you into that Perfect Being for HIM, to be used mightily among the world today. You will no longer have seams that look bad, but will be fashioned 'anew'
in Him....bright shining among the world!! LET your LIGHT shine!!
| Matthew 5:16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven. |
| Lord, take this pot of clay and remold me and make me that vessel used only for your Glory. Make me shine in the world today,
giving you all the glory for what you have done in my life. Let me so shine before men that they want to fall before your feet, calling out your name, and be saved in this
wicked world of today. Within myself, I am nothing, but with you, I am all things! I will ever praise your Name, in Jesus name, I pray. Amen. |
