We are busy people! We go about getting our lives in order, our houses in shape, and our property landscaped. We prepare meals for our family each day, so they won't be undernourished.
Sometimes we spend so much time on ourselves, we don't have time for anything else that creeps into our lives.
We would never let our children go without winter coats to guard against the cold. Neither would we be without food to fill those hungry mouths. Yet, we go long periods without 'feeding our
souls' with the soul food each of us need, God's Holy Word.
Are you prepared for the Lord's return? Is the Bible tossed over on the table with all the other magazines, books, that you occasionally pick up and thumb through? Or do you daily read His Word,
earnestly reading, diligently seeking Him, in order to know him completely as Lord?
Is your mind cluttered with everything but God's Word, and the want to get closer to Him? Life can rob us of the best years of our lives, the time when we should be clinging to the Lord, for help and
guidance. He is the only one that can get us through this world, and into eternity with Him. He gives us Grace by faith, in order to become His child, but we have to act upon that. By the same token, we have
to make a way for Him to be the center of our lives. We have to make time for Him each day, meditate on His Word, let him be our leader! He's always there, waiting for us to come to Him; yet we aren't always
ready to let him be leader. Why not start now, getting prepared for the Lord's return? Search the scriptures and find Him, and prepare your vessel for his habitation.
Exodus 15:2 The LORD is my strength and song, and he is become my salvation: he is my God, and I will prepare him an habitation; my father's God, and I will exalt him.
