Only Time Will Tell Weekly devotional by Barbara Sanders
Psalms 37:39 But the salvation of the righteous is of the LORD: he is their strength in the time of trouble.

Troubled times seems to have been looming on us for several weeks. The stock market has been reflecting the ups and downs in the presidential election contest. We haven't come
to a finality in the election; therefore, the market just goes with the flow. This is leaving a bad taste in those who have money in the market, especially those with all their life savings, or their retirment funds. There could be
big precussions on these people, and they won't soon forget how they got there, since the election day, November 7, 2000.
Thank the Lord our salvation isn't hinged on what happens in a contest, or in the courts of law. It's God's law that we must maintain, in saving our souls. He has provided free Grace through faith, when He sent his
son to be crucified and raised again, to fight our battles from the throne. Anyone who heeds the call, and accepts this Grace through faith, will be redeemed.
Just as time will tell the outcome of this election, so it will be with the souls of men. We will either reign with the Lord, or the adversary. There is no in between - no way to reverse the decision, after death. We
must be sure we are a child of God, and accepting that free grace, while we are still able to focus our minds on Him. His Word is truth, and it will stand.
| Heavenly Father, thank you for having sent your son to redeem us from our sins. We thank you for redemption through your son, and give you praise and glory due your name. In Jesus name, we pray. Amen. |
