LIGHT-tricity Weekly devotional by Barbara Sanders
1 Corinthians 15:52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

Most of America has heard about the six convicts that broke out of a maximum prison here in Alabama this week. There were three convicted murderers, and three convicted armed robbers in the group.
They didn't stay out all that long, without being caught, but it was definitely a frightening time for lots of people. The homes and communites around the prison stayed up most of that first night, wondering if perhaps those guys were coming their way. A lady
in my daughter's office only lives one mile from the prison. She said the police were up and down her road all night, and they spent most of it awake.
As you know, they caught the first five of the men, after they had went into a convenience store in Nashville, Tennessee, to buy bologna sandwiches, shampoo, and toothpaste. They came out, only to be met by an officer, and, they quickly fled on foot. Five of the men were caught, and the
other guy hid under a bridge, where he was later apprehended. But, when my daughter called her children, just before she left work, this is what she heard from her seven year old son:
"Mom, Mom! There's one more guy to catch." She said, they've caught them all. And he repeated himself, and added, "Mom, they have one
more guy to catch, and when they do, they're going to put him in the _light-tricity chair_.
The LIGHT has come. But, one of these days, HE is going to return, like 'lightning', in the 'twinkling of an eye', the Bible says, and our will be changed to incorruptible. All of those gone before us, will rise from the graves, and be changed. All of this happens in 'the twinkling of an eye'. I'm no mathmatician, and I can't
rightfully say how fast a 'twinkling' is, versus 'lightning'. But, our God knows, since He is the maker of all! So set your eyes on His LIGHT-tricity, and watch for the soon coming of the King!
| Heavenly Father, thank you for the Light you have provided through Your Word. Keep us in your ways, and watching for your soon return. In Jesus name, we pray. Amen. |
