Are All Your Ducks In A Row? Weekly devotional by Barbara Sanders
Deuteronomy 12:28 Observe and hear all these words which I command thee, that it may go well with thee, and with thy children after thee for ever, when thou doest that which is good and right in the sight of the LORD thy God.

You can only imagine how surprised I was, when I opened my last weekend's devotional, to find the music playing to be "I'll Be Home For Christmas"! I know the LIGHT has shown, and He will return, but I'm surely not suggesting that we will _be home for Christmas_ (our heavenly home). Only
God knows that for sure. The truth of the matter is - I did NOT have my 'ducks in a row', when I finished that devotional and uploaded it to my server.
How many times have we done something, thought we had accomplished the task with the sure feeling that all was well, only to find out later, something was indeed wrong? We don't need to unload our anger on ourselves; we all make mistakes. We can learn from those very mistakes! I'll learn to LISTEN intently to the music I've set for a particular devotional,
before uploading! Surely you will all forgive the oversight this time. I'll try to do better this week (listen!).
God wants us to 'get all our ducks in a row'........in other words, listen to him - fine-tune your ears, so that you will hear all he has to say to you. Then, do what he asks of you willingly. You will find favor with the Lord, when you observe to do the best you can for Him, and obey his commandments.
Matthew 11:15 He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.
| Heavenly Father, we are only human and we do make mistakes. But help us keep our eyes turned on you, waiting and watching for your soon return. In Jesus name, we pray. Amen. |
