Anchor Your Faith Weekly devotional by Barbara Sanders
Hebrews 10:23 Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised)
Life puts a lots on our plates. From childhood to adult hood, we go through many changes in our lives. We grow in body, stature, and, hopefully, in spirit. But, if we feel like we don't have friends, or the ones we thought were friends aren't holding us up as we think they should, that's a hard blow to our spirit.
The adversary watches and waits until he sees the right opportunity on which to move. When he does, he wastes no time in getting your side tracked from whom you should be trusting. Sometimes it's hard to deal with everything without losing _faith_.
The dictionary gives one belief of faith as 'Belief that does not rest on logical proof or material evidence'. The Bible speaks of faith as the 'substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen'.[Heb 11:1]. By faith, we know that God built the heavens and the earth, breathed life into man that He made after His own image and likeness, and gave him dominion over
this earth.
Build your faith on the Holy Word. Let nothing come between you and that faith that will carry you through the storms of life, let you rest in the arms of God, and keep you on the straight and narrow path.
| Heavenly Father, help us anchor our hope in you, place our faith in you fully. May we serve you with gladness, love you with our whole being, and have the faith of God in our lives. In Jesus name, we pray. Amen. |
