Climbing Up the Mountain Weekly devotional by Barbara Sanders
Isaiah 2:2 And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the LORD'S house shall be established in the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow unto it.
My husband and I have been walking every afternoon on our property. There is this big, steep hill right outside our main yard. Each afternoon, we start by going up that hill, down the hill, and around the pasture. Then, we finish by going back up and down that hill.
It's hard to push up that mountain, to make the feet go, but we keep going, until we reach the top.
There's a spiritual mountain we must climb. God teaches His people through the Word and His Spirit. It's through His Word and Spirit that we get the peace that passes all understanding. If all men were Christians, there would be peace on earth. But, until the Lord returns,
there will be no such peace. But, we can continue to 'climb up the mountain', to bask in His Holy Presence, to worship and praise Him daily. And, as we grow in our faith, we bring others into the knowledge of the Father. It's this knowledge that will lead them to want more of what they
see in us. And, they, too, will want to 'climb that mountain', just as you are doing now.

| Heavenly Father, help us to continue to walk up the mountain, to be in your Holy presence. Make us want more of you, to be more like you.
We give you praise! In Jesus name, we pray. Amen. |
