In The Storm

Psalms 107:29 He maketh the storm a calm, so that the waves thereof are still.

The south is having her share of storms today. Our area is covered with storm warnings, tornado warnings and watches. There has already been some damage done is some parts of Alabama. And, the storm is still raging. When it's warm this time of year, you can almost know there will be tornados in this area of the country. As we hear these warnings and watches, we pray they won't come our way. But, precautions must be taken, in case they do.

Many have storms in their lives, not dictated by the weather. Many have messed up lives, dying marriages, uncontrollable children, or health problems. Have you come to the place where you are afraid to turn - it might be the wrong way, when you do? Is your spouse threatening divorce? Are your children faced with things in their lives that make them hard to handle? Is your health going down the tube? Well, look no farther for help.

The storms of life are no match for the Father. He has seen them all - answered prayers for people with those same fears of life - gotten rid of the stress in their lives, and showed them the way to get their lives back in order. He can do the same for you. There is no mess too big for Him. Prayer can bring together a broken marriage, and He is able to turn your children back to you. Fears, depression and hate can turn to confidence, exhiliration, and love! God is able to make your life a life of peace, love, and happiness. The enemy will no longer be able to bring things into your life that makes it a 'living hell'. Put your trust in Him today - bring Him your cares and burdens, and believe He is able to do all that He says He can! Nothing is impossible with God, but you also have to keep the faith, have patience, and don't get over into unbelief.

Heavenly Father, there are hurting people out there today, with the greatest storms of life trying to snuff them out. Touch those people, Lord, with your love, and show them the way to peace and happiness, and how to rid themselves of the enemy and his tactics today. We give you thanks and praise. In Jesus name, we pray. Amen.
