Things change. A very terrible accident in Birmingham, Alabama, on I-65 North this morning proves that very fact. I am sure the day started out like any other for these drivers. But, who was
to know that, up the road, they would collide, and result in death. One or perhaps two bridges in the interchange in downtown Birmingham will have to be torn down and rebuilt. This will take weeks, perhaps months, to repair. During this time, the city will have a flood of traffic on streets
that weren't built to maintain such a heavy traffic load. Traffic will be rerouted over the city until the damage is repaired. There will be lots of changes of which motorists will have to be aware in order not to be caught in a big traffic jam downtown.
Things not only change in our every day lives, but, they change in our spiritual lives. We might be 'riding along' in a state of euphoria, thinking 'all is well'. Then, out of the blue, comes a trial that we aren't prepared to handle. What do we do? Do we turn to God for
the answer, or do we go on a tangency of our own, ignoring the power of the Holy Spirit to help us in our time of need? Most people will look to self or others for the answers to their troubles and trials. But, the one sure answer to them is Jesus Christ. If we tune into His wave-length,
heaven will come down, and things will change! When you live a Christian life of 'leaning on' His everlasting arms, letting Him lead, guide, and direct, your first call for help will go to Him. This kind of faith and trust doesn't come over night. But, if you place your faith in Jesus Christ,
then your life will surely change.
