I Shall Not Be Moved! Weekly devotional by Barbara Sanders
Job 13:15 Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him: but I will maintain mine own ways before him.
Job 13:16 He also shall be my salvation: for an hypocrite shall not come before him. |
| Beware! The enemy is on his job today! The more you work for the Lord, the greater your chance of hearing from him, perhaps in ways you don't realize.
Last night, I talked with this lady whose husband had to have heart surgery eight weeks ago. And, now, the doctors say she has breast cancer. They are ministers of the gospel, believers of the Word, and believers definitely in 'divine healing'.
They've worked diligently for the cause of the gospel, declaring they will work for God until He calls them home. Now, the enemy is attacking their ministry through their lives. But, they will hold on just as Job did! He was determined to be found
living for God, even if He took his life. Nothing would sway how he believed or felt.
Too often, when attacked by the enemy, a person will lose their trust in God. You hear them say, "If He really loved me, He wouldn't let this happen", or, "He doesn't care about His people, or we wouldn't be sick." I'm here to tell you that He doesn't
put those things on you, but, often, He will let them come on you. One will learn to either put their trust fully in Him, or turn away. So many will reject God's love at that time through bitterness towards Him, because 'He hasn't done enough for me' - wrong attitude!
As Job said, 'even if he slays me - I will still serve Him' - should be our attitude. Jesus hung on the cross for US, gave us everything for US, and often we can't get passed the "I" to TRUST HIM! We owe our lives to Him; why not TRUST HIM! God's promises never change. Let us
never be moved to the time of mis-trust and unbelief!

| Heavenly Father, the enemy attacks us when we are most vulnerable. Help us to turn to you and trust in your promises that you will never leave nor forsake us! Our trials and tribulations seem to mount, yet help us never to lose sight of your love for your people. We give you praise! Jesus name we pray. Amen. |
