Our every day life is filled with choices: when to get up, when to go to bed, what to wear, what to eat, what to do, and more! Every minute of our lives, there are decisions to be made. Some of these decisions are easy to be made, others painful for us. Some add to our comfort, but others bring us agony. But, yet, we still are met with the sometimes burdensome task of making decisions that may turn out to be detrimental to us. It could be a mere inconvenience, or it could be life-threatening. Yet, we are still met with these decisions. There's no escaping them, unless we just refuse to face life and let others make the decisions for us.
Sometimes, spiritually, we make wrong decisions. In fact, if we look long enough, far enough, and listen to others long enough, we may find reasons that seem right to us that keep us from ever obeying our call to God. Perhaps one has watched other Christians and think that life isn't for me. Perhaps those people we are watching isn't living up to the life that we see through scripture that a Christian is to become. Perhaps, to us, they aren't 'spiritual enough,' 'don't dress right', 'don't talk right', 'go to the wrong places' or just 'don't measure up' to our assessed Christian way of living.
The enemy will cloud your thinking! He will give you ever reason not to believe. After all, scripture says the thief has come only to kill, steal and destroy! Look around you at the chaos in our nation. Look at the lives being lost every day to drugs, alcohol, abortion and road rage. Watch the television for the next attack of terrorism. Has it come to your community yet? If we wait long enough, look far enough - it's coming, because the enemy is going to reward us for turning our backs on God.
There's a right choice and a wrong choice that is very much in our control. It means life or death for our soul. You may have not been brought up in a Christian home, but if you've ever heard the gospel preached, or read the Word, then you have a choice to make. You either decide to live for God, or you are in the camp of the devil. There's no middle street - only the straight and narrow path that you must follow. It's not what you wear, how you speak, or where you went to school, or how rich or poor - but how you receive the WORD. God is a loving God and He wants none to perish, but it's our choice. Receive GOD today and live!
