If we live long enough, death will come to us. This happened to a cousin of my son-in-law's this week. He was only 55, which happens to be a very young age to
me, considering I border on that age. It's happened in our family before - in your family.
Death knows no boundaries; the rich, the poor, the unloved, the loved, the forgotten, the old, the young - they all die at times.
But there are different deaths and different rewards.
Hebrews 9:27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:
Death shall come, but not equally to all. If you live a worldly life, never coming to know Christ as your personal Saviour, then there will be a separation at judgement from
those that have come to know CHRIST through his GRACE which is the free gift he's provided us through his death at Calvary. You not only lose your worldy possessions, but
any hope of every living eternity with Christ. What a costly mistake of not turning to the one that can give you eternal life!
If you have been born-again [accepted JESUS as your Lord and Saviour], then you will go to be with him. There's no need to worry about where you will spend
eternity.
Romans 8:13 For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.
1 Corinthians 15:22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.
If death were to come unexpectedly to you today, where would you be? Would you be greeting Christ, or would your soul be in hell? There are only two places to which we go when we
leave this world. If you aren't certain that you really know him personally, why not ask him into your heart now? Repent, ask forgiveness for your sins, for God to give you a
clean heart, one that longs to know HIM, that you believe he lived, died, ascended, and rose again, and is now at the right hand of the Father. And thank Him for his true gift of
Grace by faith!
Heavenly Father, I thank you for your Son and your gift of salvation. For those who do not know you and face death and hell, I ask that you send sowers to plant the
seed, that you prepare their hearts for acceptance of the Word,and that they turn their hearts to you this very moment. In Jesus Name I pray. Amen.
