We don't always get what we want or what we expect from life at times. Some experiences leave us bitter,
or a little distraught, saddened at the possiblity of what 'might have been'.
I can just imagine how the Alabama football players feel at this moment. They led the football game right from
the start, only to lose at the last second! This had to be a tremendous blow to those fellows, since to those of us
watching felt that they should have won, or would have won had a penalty been called for 'on field celebrating' before
the game was over. But this never happened....so goes life.
There will always be 'what if's' in our lives, usually at a time we don't need them. Some of these guys will never
have the opportunity to play the other team again, being seniors. But I would hope that they do not dwell on this missed
opportunity of winning, and instead focus on what lies ahead. They did their best, and yet lost the game, but to us, the fans,
they are winners. They exemplified the true courage of 'winners'! They played the game with all their heart; they kept their faith
right to the end.
Hebrews 10:23 Let us hold fast the profession of [our] faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)
Regardless of the adversities that come our way, we have to stand fast in our faith. Satan is there waiting for us to open the door to
worry, disbelief, or for us to give up completely.
| Heavenly Father, give us the courage to hold on regardless of what life deals us, knowing that with you, all things are possible.
Not all things happen as we invision them or would like for them to be. But we know that whatever happens, it's for a reason, and we ask for your
perfect will be done in our lives. In Jesus name we pray. Amen. |
