Have you ever walked into a darkened room and bumped into furniture, stomping your toe, because you didn't know what was before you? I have and it hurt! It will make you quickly hunt for a light switch in order to illuminate the room!

What about people? They are also capable of showing 'darkness' instead of 'light'. I know you've come across a person claiming to be 'christian', yet no light showed from them. That can cause them to be a stumbling block to someone searching for the light of Jesus. Jesus doesn't shine in their lives, and those searching associate their demeanor with all christians. This is one of the reasons we need to always glorify the Lord, to praise Him, to keep His Spirit alive within us.

You ask,"How do I do this?" Well, the bible says:

*I Corn 3:16 ......."inward man renewed day by day"
*Ephesians 4:23....."be renewed in the Spirit of your mind"
*Matthew 15:44......"love your enemies"
*John 15:27........."that you love one another"

We need to continually 'feed' on the Word of God, letting it get deep within us. Then let the Spirit lead, guide, and direct our paths, so the Light of God will shine from you to others that cross your path.

Isaiah 60:1 Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee.

Heavenly Father, help us walk with you each step of the way, that your light will shine from our lives to reach others. Help us be the beacon that will bring others to you. In Jesus name, we pray. Amen.
