Do you have a problem accepting yourself for what you are? Do you feel unworthy....or you feel nobody sees you for what you really are? Do you think that God isn't paying attention to you?

Ole' slewfoot bombards us with worries of this sort every day. It's his way of trying to make us admit defeat - that we aren't the Christian that we say we are, that God doesn't love us, that we are just fooling ourselves when we think He does. I have NEWS for him.....

When you accepted the Lord as your personal Saviour, obtained salvation through Grace, HIS free gift to you, by faith, you became:

God makes no mistakes and neither does His Son. His WORD is truth and the devil is a liar. I would stand on the promises provided me through the WORD before I'd give man the chance to try and 'prove' to me that I'm not living where I should. I prefer to let the Holy Spirit convict me of anything I might be out of line with in my life, according to HIS Word....and rest assured, HE will do this if you are not where you should be. But he's a gentle reminder, and if we listen to His voice, then we will know when we are out of line and won't have to be told twice. He chastises His children because he loves us, NOT because he doesn't.

The next time you get that feeling of unworthiness, or look into the mirror to see 'someone' else looking back, look back on the CROSS, to what the Lord did for you on that day, remember that HE gave his life JUST for you...that YOU might become His and enjoy life here on earth as He wanted His children to do - not be bombarded by the lies of satan...to feel unworthy, ashamed to hold your head high and proclaim you are a Christian. He wants to give you peace - he wants HIS workmanship to SHINE with His LIGHT, to be able to show the world that YOU are His, made by His hands, drawn by his Spirit, saved by his Grace through faith, and you are living right where HE wants you to live!!

Heavenly Father, when satan comes to call upon our minds, trying to discourage your people, let us know through your love and kindness that he is a liar. You sent your Son to die for us, to carry all these burdens and worries. Help us to be able to cast them all at His feet and not to give satan the time of day, that he will flee from us as quickly as he came, for he is defeated in Jesus name!! In Jesus name I pray. Amen.
