We webministers/masters want to know that our pages are being seen/read by those in
need of a blessing/salvation, or whatever the need may be on a given day in one's life. One of the
ways we keep 'track' is by having a counter installed on those pages. That doesn't mean that each
counter is correct, or that every visit is recorded. You can have 1/2 dozen counters and no two would
be alike. Honestly!!
I have this friend with the 'best home' on the web. She is so into watching her 'numbers' on her pages.
She realizes her own server gives the right number, yet the counter she uses for her pages is hundreds/thousands at times,
behind her server counter. I say, "Why worry?". Of course, she says she's not worrying , but you realize she wants
everything to be "perfect" - even that page counter.
We both get these wonderful notes from our readers. We exchange the notes, to encourage each other in keeping up our website
for the Lord. It's so thrilling and rewarding to get a note telling us how a person has gained access to our site just in time
to realize they don't need to give UP on GOD, but give IN to what he wants to do in their lives. We get visitors from all over the
world with similar problems/needs, and we hope we have followed the Holy Spirit in order to have things available for each and every
one of the visitors, no matter what the need.
God's Word says that His Word will not come back void, but WILL accomplish that 'which I please' [ Isaiah 55:11 ]...... in other words, this is a
reason to keep putting the Word on the internet, in forms of encouragement, devotionals, and such, for GOD will use those devotionals
for reaching the hurting World, including the Christian that thinks they have gone their last mile, and consider giving up. He will
guide those to be fed to the place that will most likely reach them. How do I know this? My God is a God of his Word - he never lies,
and He keeps his promises. He tells me to trust in Him and not to lean on my own understanding, because HIS WORD 'will not come back void' [Isaiah 55:11]. I don't know how he accomplishes this, but
I know he does, for I have gotten messages saying, in affect, that they had no idea how they reached my site. When they arrived, right on the
page was the message they needed to hear for the day, the devotional that fit their need that very moment.
As the message goes forth, it will reach those for which it's intended. Just remember, GOD is a God of all things, HIS promises are true, and all things are possible through Jesus Christ our Lord.
A counter that doesn't keep 'correct numbers' will not deter the WORD from reaching those for which it's intended, and ministering to their hurts/needs. It's just a counter, as I've told my friend on
countless occasions - something to stir up the human desire for perfection. And, it will never be accomplished in a web page counter.
Heavenly Father, we thank you for sending your Word out via our web pages to minister to
the needs of those that the Holy Spirit sends. We believe that you will guide those to our sites in order for them to get the daily medicine that they need from your Holy Word,
the message that you have given us to share with the world. We give you praise and honor and glory - you are the reason for the numbers that come to these web sites to be fed
on the Word, not a counter. Thank you for all you've done. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
