Is The Grass Greener?

Our Thoughts:

So many people are misguided into thinking, that when things get tough, and the going is rough, that's the time to pick up stakes and leave whatever seems to be wrong. Spouses have problems and think that maybe someone else would 'be better' for me. An employee who has a squabble with the boss, thinks the next job will be different; the employer has to be the current problem. The church attendant gets feelings hurt in a church, and thinks that, by moving to another one, that things will get better.

Anything sound remotely familiar in all of those scenarios? Could it be, SELF is in the way; that one has given themselves a 'clean bill of health' regarding the circumstances. It's never a question as in 'what have I done?', or maybe, 'what could I do to change things?', but always what the other person/organization has done to 'me'.

Have you taken control of your life, taken it completely out of God's hands, and now you are suffering the reprecussions of bad decisions?

Proverbs 3:5 Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.

Our Cup:

Lord, help me to remove 'self' out of the way in order to get closer to you and know your will for my life. In Jesus name, Amen.
