Daily Dose of God's Word
At Barbara's Entourage
In The Heat of Things Our Thoughts:
One never wants to be in a fire, but, sometimes, you don't have much of a choice. You are just at the right place at the wrong time.
My daughter's dryer caught fire, ruining the wall behind her washer and dryer in her laundry room, and doing smoke damage to the ceilings in there and the hall and three bedrooms. Also did
lots of smoke damage to things within closets as well. You can't imagine how much black there is, until you've been in that situation. I never want to be placed in that kind of situation ever
again. Being there with only a four year old is scarey. I panicked; he never lost his head, thank the Lord.
Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego were thrown in the firey furnace because they wouldn't serve the god of King Nebuchadnezzar. They weren't scared, because they told the King that the God they served
would deliver them out of the firey furnace and deliver them from him. Sure enough, when the people cast them in, and looked into the furnace, they not only saw that the three men weren't burned, but there was a fourth
man in the fire! When King Nebuchadnezzar saw this, he called them out, because he knew it was the Son of God. Then, he said that there would never be anything said against the God they served ever again. If anyone spoke
against God, then they would be punished.
God prevented any bad damage to my daughter's house or to any person, and delivered the three men from the firey furnace. He's waiting to deliver you from the 'fire' you may be in today, whether it's 'fire from
an employee or co-workers', or any other trial. You need to put your full trust in God, that he does what he says he will do, and hold fast to that!
God's Thoughts:
Psalms 7:1 O LORD my God, in thee do I put my trust: save me from all them that persecute me, and deliver me:
Psalms 22:4 Our fathers trusted in thee: they trusted, and thou didst deliver them.
Psalms 91:2 I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.
Psalms 91:3 Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.
Our Cup:
Heavenly Father, thank you for delivering us from all our enemies, when we put our full trust in you. Like Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, we'd be in the 'fire' without you. We give you thanks, and praise your holy name. In Jesus name, I pray. Amen.
