WHERE HE IS, I AM Our Thoughts:
God sent his Son to earth, in the form of flesh, to die for the sins of man.
The diety of Christ was not lost, when he came to earth. He only relinquished his glory, while on earth. In John 17:5, prior to His death, Christ asked the Father to glorify Him
with the position next to God in glory that He had with the Father before the world was. Don't you think that the world would have had none of Him, if he had come to earth putting the emphasis on His equality with that of God? They would probably never have
accepted him as their Savior.
Jesus took on the form of a servant, in man's likeness, when He came to earth. This way, He was sure to be able to walk among men, and to carry out the will of the Father. He never lost His position with God. God was
always with Him, wherever He was.
The Lord had the feelings of man, knew what man went through with in life; yet, he never let this interfere with His duty to go to the cross to die for man's sins. He displayed humility, the type that man would never be able to display, and was obedient to death on the cross.
Christ demonstrated his relationship with the Father in John 10, when He told the Jews that His sheep knew his voice, and He knew them and they would follow Him. He went on to explain that He and the Father were one, showing that he indeed was diety, and the I AM.
If someone tried to snatch them out of His hands, then they would be snatching them out of God's hands as well.
God's Thoughts:
John 8:58 Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am.
John 10:30 I and my Father are one.
John 14:10 Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.
John 14:11 Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works' sake.
Our Cup:
Heavenly Father, we thank you for your Son that died for our sins. We give you glory, honor and praise. In Jesus name, I pray. Amen.
