LOST AT SEA October 20,
2000 Our Thoughts:
The senseless bombing of the U.S.S. Cole Naval destroyer left many of its' sailors 'lost at sea'. Perhaps their
bodies will never be found. There will never be a complete closure of their deaths for their families and friends. Grief is somehow quietened with the presence of the person after death.
They will never be able to say those last 'goodbye's' to their loved ones.
Perhaps you've never been at sea, or even on the water; yet you experience the 'lost at sea' syndrome. You wonder around, not knowing which way to turn, or what to do next
with your life. Seems the more you do, the deeper the waters, and you feel choked, about to drown in the muddle.
Cheer up, sister and brother! God is ready to rescue you, just as he did Peter, as he tried to walk on the water, and lost his faith. We need not look at the circumstances
in this life, but give the circumstances to God. Believe that He certainly is a rewarder of those that diligently seek Him and his righteousness. He will never leave us alone to 'drown'
in the 'muddy waters' of life. He will lift you up, give you a new beginning, and a peace that leaves you victorious over all circumstances. So look up to from whom cometh your faith, and pray.
When He hears your cry, He will come to your rescue, and deliver you from the bondage 'of the sea'.
God's Thoughts:
Psalms 34:4 I sought the LORD, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears.
Psalms 34:7 The angel of the LORD encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them.
Our Cup:
Heavenly Father, teach us to bring our fears and troubles to you, before becoming 'lost at sea', lurking among the troubled waters. Help us put our trust fully in you. In Jesus name, I pray. Amen.
