Daily Dose of God's Word At Barbara's Entourage
Nothing Matters Without God Our Thoughts:
Today, during prayer after the Sunday morning sermon, God put the above thought into my mind. I quickly had to take a seat
and write what he was sharing with me.
We are humans, and we get caught up in our own thoughts, our own problems, our 'daily grind', so to speak, and not once do we give God a thought. But, that's what he wants us to do - give
Him a thought first, then he can make our day easier, more prosperous, and happy. He can give us back the joy we no longer display, give us the power to overcome the pressures of satan and his helpers.
Oh, sure, you can 'make it' without God, but just how far will you make it? Somewhere along the line, you are going to say, 'how did I get where I'm at?', 'what have I done to deserve this kind of life?',
'I'm rich; why am I not happy?', 'why am I so depressed?' Ever been there, done that? Then, God is the answer. As he said this morning to my ear, "Without ME, there is nothing". Nothing matters - the air you breathe,
the life you live - it's absolutely for naught, if you don't serve me. One day, this old world will end, and it's up to you to know where you stand with me. Give me all of you, and I will make you what I want you to be,
not what you want to be, or strive in this world-gone-corrupt, to be. It matters not that you want to be something, but that I make you what you need to be, mold you into my spiritual vessel, to serve me humbly and willingly, and
happily. To serve me without reservation, is your calling.'
God's Thoughts:
Matthew 6:24 No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.
Isaiah 55:8 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD.
Our Cup:
Heavenly Father, help us lean on you, and realize you are our only true hope. Life may be blessed without you, but there will come a day, when only HOPE in you will matter. Bring us all to that point now. In Jesus name, I pray. Amen.
