Beauty

Our Thoughts:

People have been conditioned to look at the outward appearance, when looking for the beauty of a person. We see a pretty girl and exclaim, 'How beautiful she is.' Or 'how handsome that guy is!' We know nothing about them personally; just that they are beautiful in our sight.

The outward appearance can be very deceiving. Our 'human frame' may get attention, but our actions or words sometimes speak volumes about how 'beautiful' we really are, in God's eyes. Too many times we get caught up in the 'love realm' with someone who really isn't the person we need, simply because of their 'outward' beauty.

God's Thoughts:

1 Samuel 16:7 But the LORD said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the LORD seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the LORD looketh on the heart.

Our Cup:

Lord, help us to display the beauty that matters in your sight, to show the love to man, that you have shown to each of us. Help us not be be attracted by the outward appearance of man only, but by the inner man. In Jesus name, Amen.
