Honesty Is The Best Policy

Our Thoughts:

I remember once when I missed a vase. I asked my daughter if she'd seen it, or knew what had become of that vase. She said she didn't know anything about it, although it had been in her room. Later, cleaning her room, I found the vase under her bed, with the rose, which was on the front, broken off. Oh, it wasn't harmed and was easily fixed with glue. But she had expected me to get on to her, if she told me the truth. Accidents happen, and I knew she wasn't a child who tore up things just for the fun of it.

As with any parent, we would love for our children to have enough confidence in us, that they don't feel like they can't always be honest with us. That's the way we should be with our Heavenly Father. At no time should we feel we can't be truthful when we talk with Him.
