Going, Going, Gone??

Our Thoughts:

Seems we are living in a world today that believes 'anything goes', and anything will be done to get there. I remember a time when one wouldn't think about stealing for _fear of being caught_, speak against their parents, for _fear of God_, or do something bad, because to do so would dishonor their parents. Have those days so easily passed us by? Will our children and grandchildren see a time when it's okay to do anything, say anything, without reprisal?

Call me naive, but I believe there will be reprecussions for dishonoring our parents, speaking evil of others, stealing (in whatever form or matter), and dishonoring God in any way. Sure, we are 'free agents', able to do whatever we feel like doing. But, what we should be doing is honoring God, keeping His commandments, and living a life that would leave one with a clean reputation.

When we sin, we pay a price. Restitution will be made, according to the Word. The life of a 'free agent' isn't easy. But the life of a Christian, who lives by the spirit of God, which is within him, is the one for which we should strive each day.
