Daily Dose of God's Word
At Barbara's Entourage
Spread The Gospel Our Thoughts:
We should contemplate almost anything, when we leave our homes to go shopping. I find it exhilarating, walking upon a conversation about
God in any store. Tonight, in a national hardware store, I walked up an aisle, and saw these two couples standing at the end, talking. The men were apparently speaking about church services. I began to hear words about worship, and holding up holy hands. As I listened and looked at them occasionally, I saw them raising their hands,
as they might do in a church service. This made me want to walk up and ask if I could join in! Too many are ashamed to mention God in a store so others might hear.
Don't ask my pastor to pray for you in public, unless you really want prayer right there in the store! He certainly will lay hands on you and pray, without embarrassment. And, this is the way it should be. We are not to be ashamed to show our love of God to others. In Mark 8:38, God says whomever is ashamed of Him in this 'adulterous
and sinful generation', that the Son of man shall be ashamed of him, when he comes into the glory of His Father. So we need to speak out about God and his goodness, so all may know that He is love, and we do have the love of God within us.
God's Thoughts:
1 Timothy 2:8 I will therefore that men pray every where, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting.
Mark 8:38 Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.
Our Cup:
Heavenly Father, give me opportunities to speak of your love, when I go out in public. I want people to see YOU in ME. In Jesus name, I pray. Amen.
