Garbage In - Garbage Out! Our Thoughts:
The world is filled with a tremendous amount of garbage. We seem to end up with more garbage than we do with food
or material things. All the packaging on those items fill up the garbage can in just a little while. Then, it's hard to put the garbage out, without putting it in a can, due to the
animals around, that will quickly tear it up and spread it all over the yard.
My daughter is having problems with her garbage pick up. They are to come every Tuesday, but, sometimes, it's two or three weeks before they decide to come up her street
and get the garbage. There are only two people on her street that use garbage pickup, so perhaps they think it's not worth the effort to drive up there for only two loads. This makes it bad
for her, having five in the house. That adds up to lots of trash! And, when she calls the garbage pickup service, they give all kinds of excuses for not coming by, and say they will send someone out
to pick it up, which never happens until the next week.
The devil is good at deceiving. As with the garbage people, they are lying, when they say they'll send someone right out to my daughter's. They know they won't have anyone out until the
next time her garbage is to be picked up. Those people probably see no harm in saying to my daughter, 'put a six pack of beer out there', when she asked them what she could do to get her garbage picked up.
It wasn't very funny to her, and very unprofessional on their part.
And, that leads to 'out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaketh'. When we fill our lives with 'garbage', then garbage will show up in our lives. It's hard to keep a clean house,
when you fill it with clutter. It's the same with our hearts and minds. If we keep putting in 'garbage', such as the things we read and hear, then, only garbage can immerge. But, if we fill our hearts and
minds with God's Word, then only God can come out.
God's Thoughts:
Matthew 12:34 O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.
Our Cup:
Heavenly Father, help us hear only good things, and to speak only those things that will prosper and bring forth good fruit. We need your guidance daily. In Jesus name, I pray. Amen.
