Persevering Through Troubles Our Thoughts:
All of us have made mistakes. We realize that, if on the job, then we will be corrected. Parents correct their children for mistakes.
Friends correct friends.
But, what about the people who are wronged, when they are themselves are doing their job? I know this person that does her job and has for years. The office has lost many people in the past year.
She is always there to 'pick up the pieces'; in other words, they lay everything anyone walks out on _at her feet_, and she is expected to do it without a word, or without extra pay. To me, that is very wrong of the
employer. One girl in the office doesn't do her job, so, it's expected of this other woman to pick up and go on with hers as well. But, who gets chastising, if ALL the jobs aren't done? You got it! The wrong person!
How can an employer expect one woman to keep the office going, when there is only one of her? Why do they continually heap extra jobs on her, when they can see she is 'running over at the seams', and it's depressing her?
Why? They are human, and don't care.
I suppose, if I were the woman, I would have gotten angry and quit way before now. The only way things will get better if, one, she quits, or, two, if the Lord takes over! Number one could be what she does,
but, I personally, think that number two is the answer. He says He will never put more on us than we can stand. Sometimes we opt out, before His job is done. If we patiently wait on Him, do our job, then we will be rewarded.
To the human mind and eye, it looks as if the employer is winning. But, in God's court, he is the loser - the patient employee will be the winner. But, without prayer, this woman will be quitting her job, because she's slowly
being 'pushed out', and we think it's because of the amount of money she already makes. They want someone who can take less, therefore, making them more money. But, as I said, patience is the key, and the employee will be rewarded.
Perhaps GOD will have them give her more money, less duties, or she will find a better job, better hours, and a greater pay check! Let patience persevere!
God's Thoughts:
1 Peter 2:20 For what glory is it, if, when ye be buffeted for your faults, ye shall take it patiently? but if, when ye do well, and suffer for it, ye take it patiently, this is acceptable with God.
Our Cup:
Heavenly Father, our thoughts are not your thoughts and our ways are not your ways. So, help us to persevere when the going gets rough, that we might receive our due reward through you. In Jesus name, I pray. Amen.
