Heavenly Nourishment

Our Thoughts:

A friend of mine is an avid bird watcher. She's been doing it for years. I had never given bird watching a thought until a few months ago. My husband built a bird feeder for both us and our grandson. We've noticed that lots of different species have been coming to our backyard to feed. Of course, we put out both bird feed and bread crumbs, which seem to bring around lots of animals, including squirrels and rabbits, possibly more at night. In light of all this, out came the binoculars, a CD for bird watchers, and we've began keeping a track of the different birds we have been seeing there. Some we haven't named yet, due to the fact that we don't have a clue to what they are. But, we will handle that with a bird book, once we get to the book store.

Our Father in heaven know the number of birds and species that have come to our backyard. He has made provision for their welfare. Like the birds, He knows us, and he provides us with food, both for the physical and spiritual body.

God know the numbers of the hairs on our head. The Bible also says we are more important than the sparrows. If He takes care of the little sparrow, don't you know that He will take care of us, if we let Him? The soul food can be found in His Word. If we feed our minds daily with the Word, get it within our hearts, then we have food that will provide us with supplements throughout the day, week, month, and year. But, we must store these provisions. We can't just leave them on the shelf, untouched, and expect to get the 'nourishment' that our body needs. His storehouse is full; why not extract some of that great food today, and keep your body nourished!
