Under A Microscope

Our Thoughts:

Mircoscopes are used to magnify things that are too small for the human eye to see. They are used in biology in our schools, to view dissected animals. They are also used in the medical field, as well as other places. There's nothing too small that a human can't view through a microscope, in order to get a better and large view of it's make up.

We often try to 'hide' things that we don't want people to see, and keep them hidden for years, perhaps a lifetime. As the seven fugitives from Texas found out yesterday, that, although they were able to escape their prison cells and travel far, they weren't without a 'microscope' on their lives. People were in constant lookout for them. Although they escaped discovery for a month, it was inevitable that, some day, they would be discovered and captured. The President's cabinet nominees are also under scrutiny from the Congress, which checks out everything about their lives, dissecting and resurrecting. Not all things stated are true, but it puts those people in the spotlight (under the microscope) of the world.

Often times, we as Christians, try to hide from God. We feel we don't want Him to know all about us. But, the Bible states that nothing is hidden from Him. He knows everything about us, even to the number of hairs on our head. If God cares enough to number our hairs, shouldn't we all realize that He is watching our every move? It's not that He is _after us_, to punish us, but that He cares for our whole body, as he does for our soul. He wants us to be safe, to live without fear, to be honest, and compassionate. But, He also realizes we are humans, and we make mistakes. As we realize that each facet of our life is under God's microscope, we should work to live our lives more closely to His standards. When that is achieved, we can know that, although humans will continue to dissect our lives, God will still love us. It's not the public we have to answer to, but God Almighty.
