Praise Him!

Our Thoughts:

We have so much for which to praise the Lord. How can so many people be quiet before him, feel uneasy about worshipping him, getting excited because HE IS GOD? Do we not scream and holler at ball games, at the race tracks? Do you not get excited when your child is playing a sport and start jumping up and down, acting utterly silly? THEN, what, pray tell me, is wrong with getting excited for the Lord?

I can't contain myself at times. I get excited in the store, when a salesperson tells me that my bill is smaller than I expected, all because they have an in-store sale going on that I didn't know about. I'm not ashamed; out comes, WELL, praise the Lord!! My God knows that I will praise him in all things, at any time!! I will say "thank you, Lord"..... when things happen in a situation that I know should have gone the other way normally, yet, God worked it out in my favor.

Why not try it just one time and see if you don't feel different - a little more excited the next time around, and more at ease with giving God praise at unexpected times? You will soon have such a peace that you will wonder why you ever felt that it was wrong to get 'excited' for the Lord!! I promise, HE will not frown if you 'lose your dignity'. We need NOT always be formal in our worshipping the King!

God's Thoughts:

Psalms 34:1 I will bless the LORD at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth.

Our Cup:

Heavenly Father, let your people know that you honor their worship, you want their praise continually. Help them not be ashamed to give you praise in those unexpected instances, when they feel they'd be better off being silent. We know that's a trick of the devil, so help us overcome the temptation to be silent, and praise your name. In Jesus name, Amen.
