Healing And Restoration Balm Our Thoughts:
Many are sick in body, physically, mentally, and spiritually. There seems to be no process by which they
can be healed, or returned to normal - in their minds, that is. Perhaps they have exhausted funds or means by which they can get help, through doctors, agencies, etc, for their bodies and minds.
What about the spiritual needs we have? Are they not conducive to a better life, both physically and mentally? I, for one, believe that God set up a way of life for us to follow, through His Word.
We can't remove ourselves from the need of the healing balm that He can provide. We may choose to dismiss it as our way of life, but, still, we need God in every facet of our lives. When we line up with the Word,
honor God, keep His commandments, do His works, then our lives will fair better, than if we choose to run our lives, removed from His Grace and mercy. Life deals us all sorts of miseries; to some, bad health; to others,
mental problems, and perhaps to others, just plain old bad luck! But His Word says that He knows our needs, even before we express them. And the Word also says that He will 'supply all our need' [Phil 4:19]. But, there is a catch!
He supplies Your need when you are obedient to His Word. He is a rewarder of those that 'diligently seek Him'. [Heb 11:6]
His Word says to 'seek ye first the Kingdom of God' [Matt 6:33]. It doesn't say that we can just ask God to help us, regardless of the life we lead. We must do something, and that 'something' is to serve him, irregardless of our needs, and
then our need will be met, if we call upon Him.
God's Thoughts:
Jeremiah 8:22 Is there no balm in Gilead; is there no physician there? why then is not the health of the daughter of my people recovered?
Philippians 4:19 But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
Our Cup:
Heavenly Father, we come to you today with all our hurts and problems. We cast them at your feet, Lord, and ask for your healing touch to our lives. We give you thanks and praise. In Jesus name, I pray. Amen.
