The Mouth of God Our Thoughts:
Sometimes what comes from our mouth isn't something that we would want God to hear, although He hears everything. We should watch every word we utter, because that is our testimony to others. If
we don't speak refreshing words, building words, happy, clean and constructive words, then, we are giving out the wrong message. We want to convey those things that will build up, not destory.
I started my web site almost five years ago, on the urging within my spirit. I felt that I could be a stimulus to others that my not know God, or perhaps had become lukewarm in their relationship with Him. I use my website as a tool for God, to show
others that Christians are loving, peace-seeking individual. We aren't dull humans, and we love fun and humor.
It's been often said that a person didn't want to be a Christian, because he/she views a Christian as being dull, unable to enjoy life. But, that isn't so. A
Christian should be the 'mouth of God', conveying the greatest love on earth. But, too often, that's not the case. We come off as pressuring people, trying to scare people into a relationship with God. But, hopefully, with my web site, my devotionals, and my contact with
people all over the world, every day, it will help them realize that Christians are humans that love God with all their heart, soul, and mind. Hopefully, the light of God will shine through us, and our mouth will convey that love to all others. We should always uplift God
in our conversation, but never 'push God' down someone's throat. That is not the way to win a person to the Lord. You win them through genuine caring and love for that individual. So, let our lights shine for Him, and our mouth speak the Word.
God's Thoughts:
1 Peter 4:11 If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of God; if any man minister, let him do it as of the ability which God giveth: that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.
Our Cup:
Heavenly Father, teach us how to speak the Word, and to draw others to you, through the light that shines from us. We give you all the praise. In Jesus name, I pray. Amen.
