Each of us will come into the presence of the Lord, to face him, whether Christian or an unbeliever. The greatest hope here on earth is to have our faith anchored in God, and have our hope based on His saving grace. Without the knowledge of God and the hope of his calling, we are like a ship lost at sea, rising up in the torturous 'waves of life', and finding no rescuer there. But, with God, there is always hope. If we have our anchor of faith truly placed in Him, then there is a Hope beyond what happens today.

A memorial was given for race car driver, Dale Earnhardt, today. They talked about his life as a father, a driver, but also that of a follower of God. He always carried scripture with him, each time he got in the car to drive the track. In one interview with another driver, Dale said that his aunt had gotten him 'on the right track', when he was young, and that God had always brought him through the races. This one time, only a short way from the finish line, Dale would come to the close of his life here on earth, and quickly be ushered into the presence of HIS FATHER, the Lord Christ Jesus. Nothing could have prevented that appearance, just as nobody could have known it was his day to come face to face with God. People, it's time we all realize that we are only one breath away from being 'ushered into the presence of the Father'. When our times comes, as it did with Dale, we will go, whether we are ready or not. Are you ready for your visit with Him?

Our Cup:

Heavenly Father, help us be ready when it's time for our visit with you face to face. Let none of us be caught without our hope placed fully in you. In Jesus name, I pray. Amen.
