I'm as human as human can be. I try to be on time always, in anything I plan to do. I hate to be late, but, sometimes, one can't help but be late. Circumstances
keep you from keeping an appointment, or you run a little late. Employers want their employees to be on time, but, when traffic is heavy on a nasty day, it will sometimes tie up traffic,
and it's impossible to get to work on time, especially, if you live a long way from your job.
Today is one of my _late_ days. I have set the time of uploading devotionals for early in the morning, but, it's almost impossible to stay right on time. This morning, for instance, I had to
pick up a sick grandchild unexpectedly. And, he has manuevered my time very good this morning, keeping me from performing my duties on my web site. It was unforseen, and couldn't be helped.
In our spiritual lives, we sometimes let time get away from us. We don't pray as we should, or as often. We fail to worship God as we should. God has given us the time, and the ability to use it
wisely. But, we forget that He is the giver, at times, and go about our daily duties, as though we have the most of time. But, we aren't guaranteed another minute of time. The next breath we breathe could be our last. Therefore, each day, we need to get up,
thanking the maker of that time. Then, as we go about our daily work, we need to meditate on the Word, and keep it in our Spirit. Knowing that many on a dying bed would love to redeem the past time they have wasted, we should be careful to make the best use of our time. We should be more diligent in using our alloted time, in serving the Lord, as though there will not be another day.
God's Thoughts:
Ephesians 5:16 Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.
Our Cup:
Heavenly Father, help us use the time we have here to diligently seek and serve you. Help us redeem the future time, so that we can serve you better. In Jesus name, I pray. Amen.
