When a soldier goes out to battle, he is well equipped with different armor for his protection. The army doesn't
send him out without the proper items with which to defend himself.
Every day of our lives, we are in a constant battle. The soldier is going after the enemy, when he goes into battle.
We, as individuals, are battling against the forces of evil as well. The devil is constantly throwing darts our way, trying to trip
us up in our lives. There are no holds barred with him; he uses anything or anyone that he can to tear a person down. He knows no
limits.
Therefore, every day, we need to equip ourselves with the armor needed for battle - the WORD of God. We need to feed
upon it, train our minds to understand the Word, to listen to the Holy Spirit, and to act upon each circumstance with the correct
Word. We can only do this through studying daily, keeping the Word alive within our spirit.
God's Thoughts:
Ephesians 6:13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
Our Cup:
Lord, you have provided us with the armor with which to withstand every battle that is set before us.
Through acting upon Your Holy Word, we can overcome anything the devil puts before us. Thank you for the defense you've given us - your Holy Word. Help us to
stay in the Word, to draw from it the very protection we need. We give you praise. In Jesus name, Amen.
