I picked up my youngest grandson, one morning, at the local Wal Mart parking lot. He had been sick, and, since neither Mom nor Dad could get off work, I was keeping him for the day. He couldn't go to daycare, because of his fever. My son put his son in the back seat, buckled him in the child's restraint seat, and told him bye. This started the kiss and hug
series. But, the most touching action came from my grandson. As Dad gave him a hug, my grandson turned, pulled his Dad's neck down close, and said, "I want another hug."
Hugs and kisses are part of every child's life. When a child is shown love, he or she will want to give hugs and kisses. And most of the children I've known are very loveable, and ready to administer a hug or kiss. Even the children in church will come up to me and want to hug me. It's just second nature to a child.
God made us to be loveable, and to love. He has commanded us to love one another as He has loved us. He is our Father, and Father's administer hugs and kisses. When you feel unloved, He is right there to pick you up, to love and hug you, and make you feel wanted and loved. If you put your life in His hands, He will always be there for you
and love you as His own.
God's Thoughts:
John 13:34 A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.
Our Cup:
Heavenly Father, so many feel unloved. Put your loving arms around them, and show them the Fatherly love that lots of them don't know. Give them love in their hearts that will bring a smile to their faces. We give you praise and thanks, In Jesus name, I pray. Amen.
