So Easily Deceived

Our Thoughts:

I was sent an email today that brought back memories from the 1960's. Madalyn Murray O'Hair successfully fought in the courts to get bible reading and prayer banned in the public schools. She said she was the most hated woman in America. And, now, years after her disappearance, there is closure. The human remains were identified as those of the missing atheist.

Without God in one's life, it's easy to listen to the wrong person, and get deceived. There are needless counts of people straying, because they listened to the enemy of God. You are either 'for God' or 'against God'. Matthew 6:24 says that we cannot 'serve two masters' - God and mammon.

I can almost hear people say, "But, nobody could deceive me." Are you sure? Are you 'filled to the brim' with the Word of God? Is HE in your every waking thought? Are you serving God as you should be? Or have you gotten away from God and the Word? The enemy can easily deceive you into believing that everything is okay, if you aren't fully connected to the Spirit of God. Satan knows the avenues in your life to travel, to catch you off guard. If you ever open the door to unbelief, then he has his foot in the door way. Being deceived doesn't come over night, but day by day - a little here, a little there. Being deceived is simply being mislead or ensnared - entangled in the devil's vices.
