Hurry Up And Wait!

Our Thoughts:

I'm a person that likes to be on time and never late. There have been times when I've rushed against the clock, only to get some place and have to wait. I guess the Doctor's office is the worse place you have to wait. They give a half dozen people the 'same appointment', thinking they won't show up. Then, when they all do, half of them have to wait from thirty minutes to two hours. Then, when they take you back to the little examining room, you spend another thirty to forty-five minutes, waiting on the Doctor, who is running behind.

Then, there is the waiting line at the grocery store. You are buying your groceries, and there seems to be nobody in line at the cash registers. Then, like magic, when you get ready to go into the line, seems everyone else had the same notion! And, that's the time that only half of the cash registers are open.

There is one place, though, that you never have to 'hurry up to wait'. Salvation is actually waiting on you! God sent His Son to earth, that we might be free through His Grace, by faith in Him. We need only get in line (call on God), ask forgiveness for our sins, recognize that we are sinners, and that He came to earth to save us, died and was resurrected for our freedom. The moment you believe, God is right there to take you into His fold. Unlike the doctors' offices and the grocery stores, you never have to wait with God! His mercy will come to those that place their trust in Him.
