Have A Problem? God Has The Answer! Our Thoughts:
A house full of kids, after being nest-free for years, is almost more than an old couple can manage. Oh, we love the kids; it's the
noise, the running, the hollering, the 'get me this, get me that'........among other things that bother us. Or, should I just say, gets on our nerves? Anyone our age who says they aren't
bothered with young children's endeavors just aren't speaking for most of the older generation. For one day, or make it two, all is well. For a week, with four....wow! I didn't have that many
with all mine home, so we aren't prepared for two times the two we had. Our brain doesn't function 'on the ball' as it once did. Our thinking is somewhat off from today's generation. Our rules
don't comply with their wants. Besides, we are just grandparents.
After juggling the feelings between the four, trying to appease their appetites, and fussing over who sleeps in the computer room - I want my sanity back! Routines have been upset, sleep isn't
come by easily, and computers go from one hand to the next - that's just one day. Think about that times four kids, times seven days. All in a Mother's work, but I'm just not Mom, and too tired to be one
anymore.
Do you feel as though you've lost your sanity and want to regain it? Perhaps it's not over kids, but life in general. Or maybe it's over wayward children, or a roaming spouse. God is the answer, whatever
the problem. There's nothing too hard for Him, not even a houseful of challenging children. Life may seem hard for us, but remember, He traveled our way before, met the same challenges, and knows the answer to all our needs.
We need to take the problems to Him, and trust that He will give us answers.
God's Thoughts:
Psalms 61:1 Hear my cry, O God; attend unto my prayer.
Psalms 18:3 I will call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised: so shall I be saved from mine enemies.
Isaiah 50:7 For the Lord GOD will help me; therefore shall I not be confounded: therefore have I set my face like a flint, and I know that I shall not be ashamed.
Our Cup:
Heavenly Father, we know help is as near as calling your name, when we have a problem. Our need may seem trivial to others, but you will always listen and answer. In Jesus name, I pray. Amen.
