This morning, I woke up to stormy weather. I heard thunder and lightning was seen through my bedroom window. I saw that it was early on my clock, so I proceeded to turn back over and
go to sleep. But, when I awoke later, I was astounded to see the time. It was definitely later than I thought. My, how time can get away!
Folks, it's later than we think in our spiritual lives. We let the time go by, and think, another day, another time, and we'll do what God wants. We'll study the Word, speak to others about the Lord, or maybe get our lives right with Him. We don't stop to
think He is the one that makes it possible for that next breath to come. In the time it takes to blink an eye, we could be gone. We could draw our last breath by natural causes, or perhaps be in an accident and die. We have no way of knowing when our time will come to meet our
destiny.
Each day is special. God gives us one more day to work for the Kingdom of God. We need to redeem the time [Ephesians 5:16], and try to reach others for Christ that seem to be putting Him off. It's later than they think, and eternity is in question for them. Let's
start using every available minute to serve God in every capacity that He wants us to serve, whether it be reaching out to others through our websites, or visiting them at home. All of us aren't able to do the same things. God has given me the website to reach out to others, since I'm not
that articulate in speaking. I'm a nervous speaker, so He gave me the venture on the internet, to which I am thankful.
God's Thoughts:
Matthew 16:3 And in the morning, It will be foul weather to day: for the sky is red and lowring. O ye hypocrites, ye can discern the face of the sky; but can ye not discern the signs of the times?
2 Timothy 4:3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;
2 Timothy 4:4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.
Our Cup:
Heavenly Father, each day puts us closer to you. We know the time is near for your returning, perhaps closer for some than others. Help us to serve you with purpose each day, to reach others for the Kingdom. In Jesus name, I pray. Amen.
