Catch The Enthusiasm Of The Birds

Our Thoughts:

Today has been one for the history books, when it comes to rain, the way it's staying in my yard. It's so flooded, that you could almost use a canoe in parts! But, do the birds mind? No way! They have come out in droves to the feeders. They are on the ground, pecking away for food in the mud! Nothing seems to deter those birds from food - not even the squirrels that have found those feeders. They just got right ahead about their business of feeding for the day, whatever comes - even the rains, thunder and lightning. Nothing runs them off!

Enthusiasm - that's the word that we all need to get aquainted with. It is a great excitement for or interest in a subject. If we, as Christians could be as dedicated to reading the Word, as the birds are enthusiastic about their 'food', we would grow so much faster in our faith. The birds let nothing stop them from feeding. We should be that way with the Bible. It is a book so full of life and the truth of God. To study daily would help us have ammunition to handle the enemy when he appears. Without this ammunition (spiritual food), we are an easy catch for the enemy. And, don't think he doesn't know if you are studying, and how much you know that you can use against him. So, get in the Word, get the 'spiritual food' your soul needs; be prepared for the fiery darts that will come your way, if you truly seek after God!
