Our Thoughts:
Many think they know it all, or they can do everything. They are highly trained in something and feel that there is not one person that can outshine them in that
one thing. And, if you were to suggest that perhaps there is one, then, it would offend them.
I know it seems that we do everything we do without help. But, do we really do it all on our own, or do we have help that isn't seen? I know the Christians reading this realize that, without God, we could do nothing.
He is ever present in our lives. He helps us get through trials that we would never be able to manage, if He wasn't there. We have some great doctors, but who gives them the ability to learn, to become outstanding doctors? Sure, they have
to take it on themselves to want to learn, but, without His help, they would never make it. We excel in what we like, and God helps us make the grade.
Without God, do you think that David would ever have been a fair match with the giant? No way! But, God paved the way for David to take the giant, and David was never afraid, nor did he feel scared because the giant was so much
bigger than he was. Noah, in his own strength, could never come through the flood. But, the Lord was with him every minute of the way. He gave him the strength and the knowledge to build the ark, to get the animals and his family in, and to withstand
the time he was locked in the Ark. Had he doubted that God would help him, then history would have had a different outcome. But, he listened to God, and came through the flood safe.
How many times have you tried to do something on your own, only to be met with failure? How many times have you asked God to help, and you came out a winner? God is the expert in answers and solutions for our lives. We need only ask Him
for help, and He is there. Too many never ask, and wonder what's wrong. Would it not be better to trust in one who has the answers, than to rely on our own power?
God's Thoughts:
Matthew 6:8 Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.
Matthew 21:22 And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.
John 15:7 If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.
Our Cup:
Heavenly Father, on our own, sometimes we succeed and sometimes we lose. But, with you, we are always a winner. Help us put our trust in you in everything we undertake to do. You have the answers to all our problems. In Jesus name, I pray. Amen.
