Uniqueness Our Thoughts:
God knew what he was doing, when He made each of us. I've always heard the saying that He made us and then threw away the mold. And, I agree with this, in light of identical twins. Although
they seem an exact duplicate, both have different finger prints. So, there is certainly one way all of us can be identified.
You've heard a person say, I am sure, that they have 'taken after' their parent or perhaps a grandparent. They may have characteristics of one of those, but they are still their own person. Anything they do, they do it of their
own free will. They may 'pattern' themselves after someone they admire, but it's still their actions that make up their character.
There are strong people and there are weak people. Strong people usually make leaders, and weak people usually make followers. Look at the examples in the Bible. David was young, yet he was a 'leader of the pack'. His brothers would
probably never had the courage to meet the giant head on as David did. But, little 'ole David marched out, under the directions of God, to meet that Philistine. He didn't hide his face, or walk slow. He held his head high, marching out with the power of
God on His side, ready to meet the challenge of bringing him down to his own size!
And, would you like to spend any time at all in the belly of a whale? Well, neither would I! But, Jonah met the challenge! He fled from the orders of God, only to be caught in a storm at sea! So, to save the others on the ship, he knew what he had
to do, and that was to be cast over board, to be swallowed up by the raging waters. But, God put that whale there to swallow up Jonah, to bring him to his senses. He spent three days and nights there, before being vomited from the belly of the whale. Confession is good for
the soul, which is what Jonah had done before God. He knew he had paniced and ran from God, so he confessed and God saved him and gave him another chance.
Do you doubt that you are unique, that there isn't another person on earth like you? Do you feel unwanted, unloved, not worth saving? Well, listen, my friend; there is someone who values you as a person, unique in your make up, worth bringing to the knowledge of
Him! That is Christ Jesus, the one who died for you, the one who made it possible that you be unique in your serving Him! We all are different, even when worshipping the King! We all may think we have it all 'sewn up', when we worship, but God is the one that has given us even the
ability to serve him!
God's Thoughts:
1 Corinthians 1:30 But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:
Ephesians 2:10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.
Our Cup:
Heavenly Father, thank you for making me what I am in you, a new creature, saved by your grace and mercy, and held by your love! I give you praise and honor! . In Jesus name, I pray. Amen.
