Making Connections Our Thoughts:
We spend lots of time in our lives trying to 'make connections' with the bus, the airplane, the train, our spouse, our children,
the mail person, a friend, among others. We always seem to 'miss' it at the most inappropriate time, making us upset beyond our
control. We down ourselves for not 'watching the schedule', 'watching the clock', 'paying attention in a discussion', 'tuning out
our children', thereby missing out on something that would have meant a great deal to us.
We, as Christians, often miss our 'connection' with the Lord. We fail to 'make connections' in the morning as
soon as we rise, which puts our whole day out of synch! We go around frustrated, trying to 'beat the clock', when, if we had arose
to the tune of 'Good morning, Lord', our day would have been more perfect! When 'connections' are broken, it's usually nobody's fault
but our own. We need to make more time for the Lord in our busy schedules. He understands we are busy, but he doesn't like to be
'taken for granted'.
God's Thoughts:
Psalms 42:11 Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted within me? hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God.
Our Cup:
Heavenly Father, help us to come to you as we awake in the mornings, giving your our praise and thanks. It is You who has made us, and you know us better than we know ourselves. Only you can give us real peace through the day, and
keep our minds stayed on you. We give you thanks and praise, in Jesus name, Amen.
