Thinking of Giving Up - Giving In?
Our Thoughts:
We think we have it all going good, then, the crunch comes! The pressure is on, to 'change, or else' - something you think you may have no
control over. It may have to do with your job, your position in your church, your friends, or your family. Whatever it may be, it is bearing deeply upon your mind, disturbing you greatly.
In the world today, society feeds upon those with 'less power'......or so they think who have 'less power'. The high ups in established churches find it within their power to put the pressure on individual churches.
People whom we would say were ineligible to be pastors have been ordained - sexual impurity is no longer a reason to keep one from having an office in the church. The crux is this: satan is on the rampage, and these people authorizing these unbiblical things
do not realize they are being used!
The Word tells us that the enemy is out for one thing - our soul! He will stop at nothing to obtain it, if he can! But, there is one who watches over us. He is able to sustain us in our worse times. He is able to change the matters at hand. He
says to "Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you" [Matthew 7:7]. If we will come to Him, seek His face in time of need, ask for His help, then He will open the door for us. He wants us to be at peace in
this world - not giving over to the world, in order to survive! We can't be ruled by both man and GOD - either, we are living for God, or we are living for the devil. It's just that plain.
God's Thoughts:
John 10:10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
Our Cup:
Heavenly Father, help us hold fast to our confession. Give us the power to never give up, regardless of the pressure we are under. In Jesus name, I pray. Amen.
