He Looks Beyond Our Faults
Our Thoughts:
There is not one person alive that doesn't have one fault or another. Many of us have many faults!! We holler at our kids, when we should be
admonishing them softly. As I've always heard, 'speak softly, and carry a big stick'. That doesn't mean that you carry a stick to beat a child. But you have a backup plan, if the talking doesn't work.
I know, in my case, I hated talking! My Mother never ran us, when we did wrong. She'd wait until we got in at night, and out came the punishment. And, lots of times, we got a good talking to, and I hated that
with a purple passion!
People are known to 'gossip' - heaven forbid! I know, it doesn't 'sound' like gossip; after all, you are just telling 'the truth'. But, sometimes, it's even best to keep your mouth shut, even if it is
the truth. Truth can hurt worse than keeping a secret, at times. But, the enemy will hound you until you just think you have to tell 'a truth', because he will lead you to believe that person just has to know. Well,
an 'unruly tongue' can get you into a heap of problems. It can lose you friends, a job, a promotion. There is someone always watching, listening to what you say. And, if the tongue can't be controlled, then you aren't
a good candidate for some things.
Thank God, there is one that looks beyond all the things we have wrong with us. He sees our faults, and knows all about us. He knows what we need, to make us 'perfect' in His sight. We will never be
perfect in man's sight, but, we can be in the Lord's.
God's Thoughts:
Matthew 6:8 Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.
Our Cup:
Heavenly Father, without you, we have no hope of ever being perfect. Our faults make us vulnerable among men. But, you look into our hearts and souls, and find
that which is pure in your sight. We give you praise and the glory due Your name. In Jesus name, I pray. Amen.
