Diamond In The Rough
 Our Thoughts:
When a couple gets engaged, the groom-to-be usually gives his girlfriend a diamond. On other occasions, a man may give his girlfriend, spouse, or perhaps his daughter,
a pair of earrings, or a ring, which may be silver or gold. They may have a jewel within the earrings. The ring may be a token of affection, or it might be the girl's birthstone.
But, whatever the reason for the gift, most women would truly appreciate such a gesture! And these gifts are priceless!
God's saints are His jewels. To become a 'jewel' in the Lord's Kingdom, one must follow Him, be obedient to His commands, and walk in the paths of righteousness.
Just as a diamond cutter has to shape the diamond to get the 'best effect', God molds and shapes us, and we become 'vessels of honour', 'priceless jewels'.
God's Thoughts:
Malachi 3:17 And they shall be mine, saith the LORD of hosts, in that day when I make up my jewels; and I will spare them, as a man spareth his own son that serveth him.
Our Cup:
Heavenly Father, teach us to walk in your ways, to be obedient to your word. Mold this vessel of clay to be a 'jewel' in the Kingdom of God. In Jesus name, Amen.
